The GelRest is a contoured gel pad which attaches via a special cling adhesive to your chinrest. Now available in 7 styles: Strad, Guarneri, Teka, Flesch Center, Ohrenform, Mulko, and Guarneri 1/2 size. Note that several styles can fit more than one type of chinrest. For example, the Guarneri 1/2 size also fits the Dresden 4/4 size perfectly.

Rather than simply cut from a flat sheet, like other cushioning materials, gel is cast into a mold to achieve the cupped shape needed to fit the human chin and maintain the look of a traditional chinrest.

The gel material used for the GelRest contains no silicone, and is even approved by the FDA. It's non-slip, even when wet, so holding your instrument is comfortable and effortless whether it's a hot summer day or a cool autumn nights.

Our chinrests are hand-carved and available in 5 styles: Guaneri, Original (Strad), Teka, Flesch, Dresden, and 1/2 size Guarneri. Our Original is available in ebony, rosewood, or boxwood, and standard chrome, Gold or Chrome Hill brackets. All other chinrests are in Ebony with chrome brackets only. Viola barrels are also available.

To Clean: Gel is easy to clean because of the new cling adhesive. We recommend that you peel the GelRest off and wash in the sink with a drop of dishwashing liquid or other mild soap. Then, pat dry with a paper towel and re-install. The cling adhesive is waterproof so, if necessary, it can be washed as well.

Durability: The GelRest indeed is very comfortable, but also virtually indestructible. The gel does not compress or flatten over time. The gel is a solid material and cannot leak. Still, keep sharp objects away and a GelRest will last indefinitely.

Guarantee: The GelRest is guaranteed to be free from defects for a period of one year from the purchase date. In addition, if the purchaser is not satisfied with the product for any reason within 90 days of purchase, you may return it to us for a full refund. Refund of shipping cost is not included. Proof of purchase must be supplied to receive a cash refund.
